Why Girls Rule

At 17 years old, Juliane Köpcke was the sole survivor of 93 passengers and crew in the December 24, 1971 crash of LANSA Flight 508 in the Peruvian rainforest.

Simona De Silvestro is amazing, not only did she survive a crash at 220 mph during qualifying for the Indy 500 with only burns on her hands. But then she gets into their older heavier backup car, hands oozing and bandaged, and proceeds to qualify for the race in 24th. She didn’t finish the race because of technical problems, but she rules either way.

My dad emailed this to me this morning. I was amazed at how much air this girl got snagging this catch, and it got me thinking about girls, and girl power, and how there should be a place to keep girl stuff together. That gave me the idea to start this blog, with this video as the first post. My girls loved the idea, so anytime we find stuff that shows how awesome girls are, we’re going to post it here.
