That is not a photochop job, that is Ernestine Shepherd!

She started working out when she 60 (!), she runs 80 miles a week, bench-presses 150 pounds, does bicep curls with 20-pound dumbbells, and eats 1,700 calories a day of mostly vegetables and lean protein.

If this isn’t inspiration to stay fit, I don’t know what is.

Sheila Penfold, who stands at just 5ft 3in and is registered blind, was nearly dragged into the river when the monster catfish took her bait during a holiday in Spain.

The 56-year-old had to be directed by husband Alan and son Arthur as she fought for 30 minutes to land the prized 214lb catch.

Simona De Silvestro is amazing, not only did she survive a crash at 220 mph during qualifying for the Indy 500 with only burns on her hands. But then she gets into their older heavier backup car, hands oozing and bandaged, and proceeds to qualify for the race in 24th. She didn’t finish the race because of technical problems, but she rules either way.

 

The toughest driver at indy is a woman, and she’s not Danica Patrick

I was amazed at how much air this girl got snagging this catch, and it got me thinking about girls, and girl power, and how there should be a place to keep girl stuff together. That gave me the idea to start this blog, with this video as the first post. My girls loved the idea, so anytime we find stuff that shows how awesome girls are, we’re going to post it here.
